The topic that I decided to go with is how drug abuse effects an individual. I changed my topic because I found that I was more interested in this topic so it is something I could stick to all semester. My major is biology and what i'm doing with it is pharmacy so that is where drugs play a role. I know I will have a lot to write about with this topic as well as a lot of research to do myself on the topic.
I know quite a lot about my topic but there are still some details that I need to know. I am planning on doing physical and psychological effects drug abuse plays on a person and will most likely narrow it down to a couple popular drugs for research purposes. I want to focus on addiction because that is what has the most effect on a person. Debatable topics that I know of and plan on finding more about are:
Addiction on family and the stress
Health, Employment, and crime
Mental and Emotion signs and symptoms/withdraw
What can cause addiction: History of mental illness, Family history of addiction, untreated physical pain, or even peer pressure.
