The Questions I asked were:
Do you think family history has a decision on who is more likely to abuse?
I do, family is a part of who the person is and having a supportive family vs. a negative one can have a huge impact.
What kind of pressures do teens experience?
Teens go through quite a lot of pressure which could include anything. Some common ones are family, school, peers, making the right decisions, and just figuring out who they are.
Do you think any of these pressures result in substance abuse?
If they are dealt with in the wrong way, then absolutely.
What are some basic things teens can do themselves to stop becoming dependent on substances?
Talk to someone is the first step. It all starts with good communication and the teen reaching out for help before the problem gets worse. If the teen thinks they can handle the problem on their own that is also put into consideration.
